Elephant pools is a family-owned and operated above-ground pool installation business founded by Tom Broadbent. It is owned and operated by Kelsey Everett who has been with the company for 12 years.
Prior to incorporating Elephant Pools, Tom Broadbent ran another family business servicing fire extinguishers called Elephant Fire Extinguisher Services. He envisioned elephants as nature's natural fire extinguishers—spouting water from their trunks and extinguishing the flames.
In response to California’s rampant wildfires in the early 2000s, Tom designed a fire pump that sprayed Thermo-Gel onto homes for protection. The gel needed a large water source to feed into the pump, which not all residents possessed. This was the genesis of Elephant Pools, an above-ground pool installation company in which Kelsey Everett was one of the crew members along with his three brothers.
